CLEPA signs joint statement for ambitious European research and innovation framework programme

To further support EU competitiveness, FP10 must focus on excellent cross-border collaborative RD&I, with a strong industrial participation.

CLEPA, along with 109 other associations, have signed a Joint Statement for an Ambitious next European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10). The call is to answer urgent industrial needs by increasing pan-European collaborative research on FP10, which currently lags behind other regions.

To further support EU competitiveness, FP10 must focus on excellent cross-border collaborative RD&I, with a strong industrial participation. The global technology race means that the EU must fully capitalise on its scientific and technological potential, while doing more to attract and retain private RD&I investments in Europe.

In particular, the statement also underlines the need to continue with the already well-established road-transport relevant R&I partnerships, including 2ZERO, CCAM and BATT4EU, that work to promote the industrial uptake of novel technologies and scale-up into new solutions, products and services, improving people’s well-being and quality of life and increasing European long-term competitiveness.
