CLEPA joins new ERASMUS+ project ‘TRIREME’ on automotive skills

Project partners will leverage the collection of skills intelligence and strive to identify automotive sector trends to boost re-skilling and up-skilling skilling programmes, along with the development of trainings and exploring the impacts of the ecosystem transition.

The European Commission has funded a grant of €4 million to launch a 32-partner strong consortium across 15 countries, focused on digital and green skills for future mobility. The new European project officially kicked off at an event held in Brussels on 11 April.

The project ‘Digital & Green Skills Towards Future of the Mobility Ecosystem’ (TRIREME), will focus on addressing the societal and economical challenges resulting from the transformation of the automotive ecosystem, currently employing 14.6 million people in the EU. Project partners will leverage the collection of skills intelligence and strive to identify automotive sector trends to boost re-skilling and up-skilling skilling programmes, along with the development of trainings and exploring the impacts of the ecosystem transition.

The objectives of TRIREME include:

  • Definition of a global methodology, concepts and strategy
  • Identification of new and emerging occupational profiles in the sector, a sectoral roadmap and strategy
  • Development of training material and piloting report
  • Development of training modules and material based on the sectoral needs
  • Mapping of re-/up-skilling projects regional level

CLEPA will contribute to the ERASMUS+ funded project, supporting the identification of skills gaps and challenges faced by the European automotive supply industry. CLEPA is also a partner of the Automotive Skills Alliance, the coordinating platform of TRIREME.
