CLEPA does not collect any information about the user unless this is voluntarily given by the user himself/herself

Our aim is to safeguard our users’ privacy whilst providing a personalised and valuable service. Collecting personal information is therefore necessary if we are to satisfy the expectations and requirements of our users, e.g. by communicating with them and providing an interactive service.

What information do we collect?

We collect two kinds of information about our users:

Non-personal information such as IP address (the location of the computer on the internet), pages accessed and files downloaded. This helps us to determine how many individuals use our sites, how many people visit on a regular basis, which pages are most popular, and which pages are least popular. This information simply allows us to monitor and improve our service.

Personal information such as name, company, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc. We collect this information only in connection with specific activities, such as membership requests, registration for events, conferences or seminars, requests for information material, etc. and we will always request specific consent for it. The information is either needed to fulfill your request or to enable us to provide you with a more personalised service. You don't have to disclose any of this information to browse the public part of our site. We keep your data for the time necessary to accomplish the objectives pursued. Once this goal is achieved, we either delete or anonymize them.

Information which you submit via our websites is sent to a computer located in Belgium. This is necessary in order to process the information and to send you the information you have requested. CLEPA will not share or sell or exchange your data with other organisations without your authorisation and you will have the right to request in every moment a copy of your personal data in our possession.

You may, at any time, request to verify, access, rectify, delete, transfer and object to the use of your data, as well as request the limitation of such use of your data. To do so, simply send an email to info@clepa.be.

We will then make every effort to take the necessary action as soon as possible, according with the General data Protection Regulation.

Your personal details shall be stored in conformity with the data protection provisions of Belgium.

How is the information used?

Any personal data relating to you will be used and recorded by us in accordance with current data protection legislation and this Privacy Policy. We will use the information you provide to:

Fulfill your requests, for example applications for membership, registration for events, conferences or seminars, requests for information material, etc.

Record any contact we have with you

In aggregate (and therefore anonymously) to profile your use of the websites and to carry out research on our users' demographics, interests and behaviour to help us gain a better understanding of how our users navigate and use the websites, and to enable us to improve our service to you

Provide you with information which we think may be of interest to you (mainly CLEPA activities, campaigns and events
