Sigrid de Vries, Secretary General, to leave CLEPA as of 31 August

Ms Sigrid de Vries, Secretary General since 2017, is to leave CLEPA, the European Association of Automotive Suppliers, as of 31 August 2022 to pursue a new challenge in the automotive industry in Brussels.

Mr Thorsten Muschal, CLEPA President says: “Sigrid has brought substantial and positive change to our association, strengthening our industry’s message and voice, building a professional and competent team and solidifying our membership. We much regret to see her leave. We are, however, also glad that she’ll not be lost to our sector and look forward to continuing our close collaboration with her at the helm of ACEA. Given her in-depth knowledge of suppliers’ key issues, this change should only strengthen our dialogue, cooperation and partnership with OEMs. The CLEPA leadership is now taking steps to secure the swift and smooth succession of Ms De Vries and will make further announcements in due time.”

Ms De Vries adds: “The automotive supply industry is a strong asset and much-needed ally in the transformation to smart, safe and sustainable mobility in Europe. We’re experiencing a time of great change and volatility, and trade associations have an important role in bringing forward-looking ideas, legitimate interests, and pragmatic solutions to the table. I’m fully confident that the excellent CLEPA team under a new secretary general will continue to make its mark. I’d like to thank the CLEPA leadership, the team and all CLEPA members for their trust and inspiration and look forward to continuing working together.”
