Public consultation on specifications for Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems

On the 10th of October 2017, the European Commission launched a public consultation on specifications for Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems. The consultation period is open until the 5th of January 2018, and representatives from the industry are invited to participate and provide with their expertise.

The 2016 EU Strategy on Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems foresees the need to amend and supplement the ITS Directive 2010/40/EU for aspects where legal certainty is needed, through the preparation of a delegated regulation on C-ITS.
