Participation of CLEPA at the IMAF Automotive Forum in Moscow
The two-day Automotive Forum celebrated its 10th anniversary and was held on August 27 and 28 in the IEC Expocentre within the framework of the MIMS Automechanika 2019 exhibition.
This year, the forum’s motto was “Automotive industry meets the future: global prospects”, with the aim of bringing together worldwide views of the sector. The first day was focused on providing a broad analysis of developments in the world automotive market. Sigrid de Vries, CLEPA Secretary General, participated in the plenary session “Future of Russian Automotive Industry” where she addressed the audience and spoke on some of the new European market trends based on the main two drivers: decarbonisation and digitalisation.
After the panel, there were discussions on future prospects of electric vehicles and infrastructure, as well as an examination of Russia’s readiness for the introduction of their technologies in other countries.
The second day of the IMAF Forum the discussion was focused on localisation of new technologies and innovative components. Both purchasers and suppliers of the industry shared their views.
