Participation of CLEPA at the Automotive Industry Forum 2019, Craiova

Under Romania’s Presidency, the Ministry of Economy organised the Forum of the European Automotive Industry 2019 which took place in Craiova on 18th March.

The event stressed the importance of the automotive industry for economic growth and prosperity, exploring the boundary conditions for staying competitive and making the transition to smart, safe and sustainable mobility.

 

The event gathered representatives of the Romanian Government headed by the Prime Minister of Romania, Viorica Dăncilă, European Commissioner responsible for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, Elzbieta Bienkowska, representatives of the automotive industry, members of the Romanian Parliament, members of the European Parliament, local officials, and international guest.

Sigrid de Vries, CLEPA Secretary General, was speaking in the panel on competitiveness, pinpointed innovation, smart regulation, market demand for new technologies and skilled people as the key differentiators for sustainable growth.
