Diesel Information Hub goes live
Diesel information hub is going live, to provide information including how innovative technologies in the diesel engine help reduce pollutant and CO2 emissions, how diesel caters to specific driver needs, and what the EU and manufacturers are jointly doing to provide consumers with reliable information about the environmental performance of their vehicle.
The initiative from AECC, the European Association or Emissions Control by Catalyst, is bringing information on modern diesel closer to you.
In the past decade, diesel engines have made great strides in improving their efficiency and reducing their emissions. This has resulted in fuel cost and environmental benefits for car drivers and the wider society. However, the ‘dieselgate’ scandal, which has been followed by news headlines about national and localised restrictions on older diesel vehicles, has led to confusion surrounding the future of the diesel engine.
