CLEPA welcomes new Technical Director
Last month, CLEPA’s Technical Director Louis-Sylvain Ayral retired from his position after leading CLEPA’s Technical Regulations department for 20 years. We are very thankful to Mr Ayral for his faithful service to CLEPA and wish him well in retirement.
Mr Paolo Alburno, who was previously Head of Technical Regulations at IVECO from 2012 and Head of Technical Affairs at CONFINDUSTRIA ANCMA from 1999, has joined CLEPA as Mr Ayral’s successor and assumed responsibilities on July 27, 2016.
Mr Alburno has cooperated within a wide number of automotive businesses, organisations and structures including the European Commission’s DG-ENTR Automotive Unit, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN-ECE), the International Road Transport Union (IRU), the International Organisation of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA), the European Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (ACEA), the International Organisation for Standardisation and the European Committee for Standardisation.
Born and raised in northern Italy, Mr Alburno gained his Master’s Degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Bologna.
