CLEPA participates in the 2020 kick-off event of Autoregion in Saarland

Celebrating its 5th anniversary, the cluster Autoregion organised the 2020 kick-off conference in Saarbrücken, Germany on the 22nd of January.

The sessions were focused on mobility and innovation and looked into the challenges that the automotive industry is currently facing in the Greater Region, but also at a European level. For this purpose, the event brought together representatives from regional and multinational environments to exchange views on how to best create synergies and spaces of collaboration.

 

Benjamin Krieger, Head of Government Affairs of CLEPA briefed the audience on some keys insights about the European dimension of the industry, as well as the next steps to be taken from a global perspective. CLEPA advocates for the key role of automotive suppliers in the mobility transformation and the position of Europe as the intellectual centre of the automotive world and its future.

Background

The Autoregion e. V. is an independent working, complementary and additional organ to the existing automotive networks of the Greater Region, and operates decentrally in the regions of Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Lorraine and Luxembourg.
