CCAM General Assembly elects new leadership and sets course for future projects

Key elections were held for vacant positions. The re-election of the Executive Group, comprising the seven cluster leaders and co-leaders, was requested

The General Assembly of the R&I Partnership on Connected Cooperative Automated Mobility (CCAM) was held in Brussels on 22 May. This event marked a key moment to reflect on the past three years since the partnership’s launch, while looking ahead, until the conclusion of the current Horizon-Europe EU R&I funding programme in 2027, and beyond.

During the meeting, key elections were held for vacant positions, while the re-election by the General Assembly for a second three-year term of the Executive Group, comprising the seven cluster leaders and co-leaders, was requested. As a result, key roles of CLEPA-endorsed representatives were confirmed including: Christoph Weigand (Continental) who will take over from Christian Scharnhorst (Bosch) as CCAM Association Vice-Chair in 2025; Dr David Storer (CLEPA) and Gereon Meyer (VDI-VDE/IT and CCAM R&I SAC EG co-leader) as the leader and co-leader of CCAM Cluster 2 “Vehicle Technologies”; Peter Urban (ika and CCAM R&I SAC EG co-leader) as leader of Cluster 3 “Validation”; Thorsten Burger (Continental) as Automotive Suppliers representative in the CCAM Partnership Board.
