Car industry promotes paperless route for safety data sheets
The car industry in Europe and parts of Asia has begun promoting standardised and automated communication on safety data sheets throughout the supply chain. The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), is working with its counterparts in Japan, and South Korea, and the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (Clepa). They see a move to paperless safety data sheets as essential to reducing costs, as regulatory demands to pass safety information on substances and mixtures increase.
