This online event will lead up to a high-level conference which will be held in Brussels on 23 September 2020
Given the need to reschedule the High-Level Conference “Skills and Transformation of the EU’s Automotive Sector” to September 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and the consequent travel restrictions / containment measures put in place by Member States (including Belgium), the European Commission has decided to launch a webinar on 27 May 2020 (the date in which the conference was originally scheduled).
The webinar will be an opportunity to discuss the main findings of the following EU-funded projects and discuss the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the prospects for upskilling and reskilling in the automotive sector.
- The ”Development and Research on Innovative Vocational Educational Skills”(DRIVES) project, launched by means of an Erasmus+ initiative. It aims at delivering human capital solutions through the establishment of an Automotive Sector Skills Alliance, covering all levels of the value chain. Project results available at: https://www.project-drives.eu/en/results
- The project “Towards a common vision on addressing SMEs skills needs in the automotive sector: strengthening the development of upskilling and reskilling strategies” by means of the COSME Programme.
