CLEPA Comments:

  • Comment 1: only pre-consumer and post-consumer materials shall be considered as recycled content.
  • Comment 2: within ISO 59020 Annex A the resource inflows are measured to quantify four types of content:
    1) reused content;
    2) recycled content (as defined here);
    3) virgin, renewable content;
    4) virgin, non-renewable content.
    These four types of content add up to represent 100 % of the resource inflow. The first three types (recycled, reused and virgin, renewable content) are considered as circular; whereas the fourth type (virgin, non-renewable content) is the remaining portion that is from a non-circular source.
