- Comment 1: Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) defines ecodesign as the “integration of environmental sustainability considerations into the characteristics of a product and the processes taking place throughout the product’s value chain”. The ESPR definition is more process-oriented and specific to the value chain, while the ISO definition is broader, linking ecodesign to life cycle thinking and sustainable development.
