The second meeting of the Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) Partnership Board—composed by the CCAM Executive Group, the CCAM Partnership Delegation, and European Commission representatives—was held online on 8 December.                                                                                                                                                                                

The CCAM Partnership, of which CLEPA is an active member, encompasses more than 180 members across different industry sectors, research institutes and universities, associations and clusters, service providers, and national and local authorities, who work together to help removing barriers and contribute to the acceptance and efficient roll- out of vehicle automation technologies and services.  

The Board meeting was a huge milestone for the Partnership as the full text of the CCAM Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) was officially adopted.  The SRIA is a comprehensive roadmap for the implementation of the CCAM Partnership and its objectives. It provides a flexible background to help identify and define call topics for research and innovation activities to be included in the Horizon Europe Work Programmes. It also serves as a basis to develop shared activities with national research programmes and other Horizon Europe Partnerships.  

Through the identification of four major challenges, the SRIA defines a set of objectives to advancing CCAM solutions and preparing them for deployment (Deployment Readiness), key elements of the CCAM Partnership vision. The Deployment Readiness is the status defined by combining the validated safe system functioning, a good understanding of the expected impact and potential risks, together with users and society’s readiness to accept, adopt and demand CCAM solutions.
